MILLSBORO - George B. Donaway of Millsboro died Friday, Jan. 5, 2007, in his home. He was 74.
Mr. Donaway was a retired rural mail carrier with the U.S. Postal Service, retiring after 32 years of service.
He was a member of the Hickory Hill United Methodist Church, Millsboro; a 32nd Degree Mason; a member of the Franklin Lodge 12 A.F.&A.M., Georgetown; a member of the Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Milford; a member of the PBOE Elks Lodge, Selbyville; and a past commander of the Indian River Yacht Club.
Mr. Donaway was devoted to his family and the community.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George R. and Gertrude M. (Mumford) Donaway.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth H. Donaway of Millsboro; a son, Bart H. Donaway of Millsboro; a grandchild, Jamie Donaway; and two great-grandchildren, Mya Donaway and Dax Donaway.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Watson Funeral Home, 211 Washington St., Millsboro, where friends may call one hour earlier.
The Rev. Betty Jo Megee will officiate.
Burial will be in Millsboro Cemetery.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Hickory Hill United Methodist Church, c/o Roy Rogers, 28209 Walt Carmine Lane, Millsboro, DE 19966.
