George A. 'Sonny' Usilton, 63

CENTREVILLE, Md. - George Alvin "Sonny" Usilton, of Centreville, died at his home on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2008. He was 63.

Born Feb. 22, 1944, in Chestertown, he was son of the late Carroll and Mary Helen (Moore) Usilton.

He attended school in Church Hill and Centreville and worked as a handyman and as a farmer in the Queen Anne's County area.

Mr. Usilton enjoyed playing guitar, drawing, dancing and will always be remembered for his great sense of humor.

He is survived by a son, George A. Usilton Jr., who is stationed with the U.S. Army in Korea; four sisters, Norma Jean Heflin of Centreville, Helen Lee Badur of Millsboro, Del., Nancy Morris of Centreville and Margaret Rebecca Chance of Centreville; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, Centreville.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Chesterfield Cemetery, Centreville.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Goodwill Fire Co., 212 Broadway, Centreville, MD 21617.
