SMYRNA - Gary R. Lamborn Sr., of Smyrna, passed away at home Friday, May 22, 2009. He was 53. Gary was born Jan. 5, 1956, in Wilmington, the son of Lois Norris Everett of Smyrna and the late Raymond C. Lamborn. He worked as a sales manager for Crop Production Services in Smyrna and Massey, Maryland and as a self-employed farmer. Gary devoted his life to his family and agriculture. He loved being at home at his farm with his wife children and grandchildren. He was a member of St. Polycarp's Roman Catholic Church in Smyrna. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Judith Farkas Lamborn; four children, Katy O'Connell and her husband, Patrick of Clayton, Gary R. Lamborn, Jr. and his wife, Danielle of Smyrna, Kimmy Lamborn of Eustis, Florida and Julie Kristy Lamborn at home; a brother, Robert C. Lamborn of Camden-Wyoming; two sisters, Linda Boulden of Galena, Md., and Christine Woodward of Townsend; an aunt, Frances Rhoades of Middletown; his mother-in-law, Violet Farkas of Collingswood, New Jersey and his grandchildren, Kaylee Dulin, Gabriella Lamborn and Sydney and Colleen O'Connell. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, in St. Polycarp's Roman Catholic Church, 135 Ransom Lane, Smyrna. Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 9pm in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 South Main Street, Smyrna. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Camp Boggy Creek, 30500 Brantley Branch Road, Eustis, FL 32736. Letters of condolence may be sent by visiting www.fariesfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are by Faries Funeral Directors and Crematorium Inc., 29 South Main Street, Smyrna.
