WYOMING - Gary R. Bowman, of Wyoming, died Monday, Jan. 24, 2011, at Kent General Hospital. He was 56. He was born June 24, 1954, in Dover, to the late Ernest Bowman and Doris Roach Bowman. Mr. Bowman worked for Caesar Rodney School District as the chief of custodians for 22 years retiring in 2002. He loved camping, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed playing cards with close friends and family. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Martha Goodman Bowman of Wyoming; a daughter, Chantel Cloak and her husband Edward of Wyoming; two sons, Jim Davis IV and his wife Jan of Bahrain, and Darren Davis and his wife Elizabeth; two nieces, Holly Still and her husband William of Magnolia, and Hope Belious of Florida; a nephew, Daniel Washburn of Magnolia; a sister, Darlene Washburn and her husband Larry of Magnolia; grandchildren, Amanda and Jimmy Davis V, Haylee and Destiny Cloak, Garry Church III, and Shawna Kerrick; two great-nephews; two great-grandchildren; and many friends. He was much loved and will be greatly missed by many people. Memorial services will be 3 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover.
