Frederick Harrison Smart Jr.

Frederick Harrison Smart Jr., 55

DELMAR - Frederick Harrison Smart Jr. of Delmar died Monday, Jan. 21, 2008, in Ocean City, Md. He was 55.

Born in Milford, he was the son of the late Frederick Harrison Smart Sr. and Marie Mildred Smart Hammond.

Mr. Smart was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War.

He worked for General Foods in Dover prior to becoming disabled in 1993.

Mr. Smart was a former member of the Moose Lodge in Harrington.

He loved to play his guitar, watch TV, visit friends and travel to the beach.

He is survived by a son, Shawn F. Smart; two grandchildren, Caleb and Madison Smart, all of California; four sisters, Blanche B. Ward of Delmar, Nancy L. Ward and her husband Don of Salisbury, Md., Ruth A. Ward and her husband Larry of Delmar, Md., and Doris S. Arbogast and her husband Charles of Delmar; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday in Holloway Funeral Home, where friends may call one hour prior to the service.

The Rev. Jerry Hughes will officiate.

Interment will be in Blades Cemetery.
