MILFORD - Frederick H. Golden passed away on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017, at home. Frederick was born in Olean, N.Y., the son of the late Clayton and Helen R. (DeGoller) Golden. He served in the U.S. Air Force as an aircraft mechanic for 12 years. He was self-employed in automobile restoration. He loved street-rodding, was a member of the Delaware Street Rod Association, American Legion in Milford and the Moose Lodge and the V.F.W. in Ellendale. He is survived by his wife, Linda (Mills) Golden; children, Timothy Golden and wife, Bonnie and Kimberly Humphrey; Michael Smith, who was like a son to him; three grandchildren, Garrett Golden (Marie), Madeline Golden and Joshua Smith. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017, at 1 p.m., in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford, where friends may call after 12 noon. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Home of The Brave, 6632 Sharps Road, Milford, DE 19963.
