Frederick Alexander "Freddy Paul" Paul, 64
BRIDGEVILLE - Frederick Alexander "Freddy Paul" Paul of Bridgeville passed away peacefully Monday, Sept. 10, 2007, in the Presbyterian Medical Center of Philadelphia, surrounded by his spouse and daughters. He was 64.
Mr. Paul was born in Milford to the late Maude Price.
He attended and graduated from the Milford School District.
Upon completion of high school, Mr. Paul worked for the John Yoder Trucking Co., formerly of Greenwood, for many years.
He later became employed by Erdner Brothers Trucking Co. Inc., of Swedensburg, N.J., as a truck driver, until his health deteriorated and he became disabled.
Mr. Paul was a dedicated and hard-working man, who loved to work and drive trucks, especially tractor trailers.
He was a loving spouse, father and grandfather.
Mr. Paul enjoyed family outings and was an inspiration to his family, friends and all who knew and loved him.
If one needed help, all they had to do was to ask Freddy and he would be there for them.
Mr. Paul is survived by his wife, Laverne Paul of Bridgeville; two sons, Frederick A. Cannon of Salisbury, Md., and Keith Paul of Seaford; one daughter, Latrena M. Sheppard of Seaford; four additional sons, Greg Sheppard of Harrington, Nathan Sheppard and his wife Haronda of Millsboro, Eric Paul of Seaford, and Andrew May of Bridgeville; one additional daughter, Chasity Smith of Greenwood; a special devoted friend of many years, Richard Davis of Greenwood; 18 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of other family members and friends.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Saturday at the Citadel of Hope Church, Concord Road, Seaford, where Pastor Margarite White is the host pastor. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. in the church.
Pastor Deborah E. Harris-Nock will officiate and deliver the eulogy.
Interment will be in the Trinity Church Cemetery, Dublin Hill Road, Bridgeville.
Flowers will be accepted and may be delivered directly to the church on Saturday morning.
The family will continue to celebrate Mr. Paul"s life by hosting a gathering immediately after the interment at the banquet hall at Jimmy"s Grille, Del. 404, Bridgeville.
