Freda C. Sammons, 70
DOVER - Freda C. Sammons passed away Friday, January 15, 2021 at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital in Dover.
Mrs. Sammons was born April 1, 1950 in LaGrange, Ga. to the late Albert and Hazel Grizzard Mulkey.
She was a Licensed Practical Nurse at Caroline Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation in Denton, Md. Mrs. Sammons had 39 years of sobriety in both AA and NA. She loved her family, gardening, crafts, collecting shells and glass at beaches and helping others.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter T. Sammons, Sr.
Mrs. Sammons is survived by her son, Walter "Tommy" Sammons, Jr. of Dover; daughter, Tina C. Campbell of Dover; and grandson, Tyler Marc Campbell and fiancée Lexie Moss; great granddaughter, Kaidyn Moss-Campbell; sisters, Rita Hefner, Marguarite Eichelberger, Michelle Barnett, and Deborah Masten.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt. 10), Dover, Del. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford Street, Dover, DE 19904 to help defray funeral expenses.
