Fred T. Lewis
(February 2, 1927 - March 13, 2022)
Fred T. Lewis grew up on a farm near Dover, Del. and attended Dover High School. After serving his country during World War II, Fred attended the University of Delaware (where he met his wife of 70 years, Mary Agnes Lewis), and completed veterinary school at Cornell University. Dr. Lewis settled in Howard County, Md. where he was a renowned veterinarian and an accomplished horseman.
He was a charismatic leader of numerous civic and educational organizations yet would humbly reflect that "the Lord always looked after me." During his 95 years in this world, he touched the lives of an immeasurable number of God's creatures, great and small. Dr. Lewis often said, "I never had to work a day in my life" because he loved and lived his profession.
Dr. Lewis is survived by his brother, Art Lewis (Dover, DE); and his ten children, 17 grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Viewing Thursday, 3/17/2022, 2PM to 4PM and 6PM to 8PM, Donaldson Funeral Home, 12540 Clarksville Pike, Rt 108, Clarksville, MD 21029. 301-854-0095
