Franklin Eugene (Gene) Coker of Dover, DE passed on June 11, 2022, he was born June 17, 1940, to the late James (Ted) and Elizabeth Coker.
Gene was proceeded in death by his sister Glendora, brothers Charles, Carl Lee & Junior Coker.

Gene is survived by his wife Nancy Coker of 58 years, sister Evelyn Townsend and brother Larry Coker, sons Ellery (Gene) & Wife Tammy Johnson, Danny & Wife Kimberly Pearson, Donnie Gosser, Frank (Gene) & wife Julie Mosley, Mark Gosser, Scott Mosley & James & wife Shelly Goodman. Daughters Daphni, Vyucka (Cricket) & husband David Joslin, Lisa Hurd & Norma Hamilton. Gene had a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and even great-great grandchildren.

Gene loved his family dearly. As a young man Gene found a love for animals especially horses and became a livestock dealer, he was well known at livestock auctions and for hauling livestock which he did his entire life, he also worked at fleshier bakery and then later became a boilermaker until he retired in 1998. Gene lived a simple life doing what he loved. Gene loved to ride horses, trading, buying livestock, race ponies at the old little Dover Downs racetrack, western movies, hunting, drinking and have a good time.

Services will be held 2PM, Friday, June 17, 2022 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in Immanuel U.M. Cemetery, Cheswold.
