Seaford - Frank Linwood "Jr." Jenkins Jr. of Seaford died Saturday, March 10, 2007, in Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford. He was 42.
"Jr.," as he was affectionately called by those who knew and loved him, loved being with and around his family and friends. He was devoted to his parents and siblings and will fondly be remembered as a dedicated father and grandfather.
He is survived by his parents, Frank L. and Alberta Jenkins, with whom he resided in Seaford; five sons and two daughters-in-law, Andrew and Joyce Jenkins, William and Felicia Jenkins and Thomas Waples, all of Salisbury, Md., and Linwood Jenkins and Frank Dorman, both of Seaford; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Shawntia and Tyree Andrews of Dover, and Frankie Jenkins and James Long of Seaford; five grandchildren; four brothers and four sisters-in-law, Michael and Janet Jenkins of Seaford, Donovan and Edwina Jenkins of Bridgeville, Javon and Jeanette Jenkins of Laurel, and David and Angie Jenkins of Salisbury; a sister and a brother-in-law, Laura and Timothy Carter of Hurlock, Md.; maternal grandmother, Co-Pastor Alberta Waples of Seaford; paternal grandmother, Cassie Palmer of Seaford; his wife, Valerie of Salisbury; and his best friends, Tony Morris and Tony Cossaar, both of Seaford; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Clarence Street Church of God, Seaford, where friends may call one hour earlier. There will be an additional viewing after the eulogy.
Bishop Carlton Cannon will officiate.
Burial will be in Middleford Cemetery, Middleford.
Instead of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to help defray funeral expenses to Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jenkins Sr., 224 N. Market St., Seaford, DE 19973.
