He was a truck driver for Atwood's Disposal for 16 years and retired in 2003.
Mr. Robinson loved spending time with his family.
He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports and really enjoyed teasing his children and grandchildren, but his biggest thrill was watching his grandson, Donald, overcome a premature birth.
Mr. Robinson enjoyed camping, boating, watching NASCAR and attending races at Delmar International Speedway.
In addition to his father, Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Patricia Ann Robinson; a brother, John Robinson; and a sister, Verna Yearicks.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca "Brickey" Robinson; mother, Vivian Lane Robinson Moffett of Dover, formerly of Kenton; two children, Francis "Frank" Robinson Jr. and wife Tina and Terri Nailor and husband Greg Sr., all of Milford; nine grandchildren, April Robinson, Rannae Robinson, Amy Robinson, Greg Nailor Jr., Brian Nailor, Donald Nailor, Daniel Irwin, Mahoda Taliaferro and Cassie Keesser; four great-grandchildren; seven brothers and sisters, Charles Robinson of Townsend, Howard Robinson of Smyrna, Robert Robinson of New York, Jeanette Yearicks of Lakeland, Fla., Doris Crist of Kenton, Clara Mae Lockwood of Sudlersville, Md. and Sharon Wright of Dover; and his canine friends, B.J., Gizmo, and Buddy.
A funeral service will be noon Friday in the chapel of Berry–Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford, where friends may call at 11 a.m.
Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
The family sends a special thank you to Delaware Hospice, especially Robin Glover, for their support and instead of flowers, and request donations to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. Dupont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
