Francis Albert Swiggett Jr.

FELTON - Francis Albert Swiggett Jr., of Felton, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2007, in his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was 49.

He was born on Nov. 8, 1957, in Dover.

Francis worked in the tire business in Delaware and Maryland, working independently and for Delaware Tire Co. and Cooks Tire. For the past five years he worked for Carl King Tire Co., Camden, as a commercial tire specialist.

His many hobbies included vegetable gardening, fishing and boating.

Francis will be remembered as a loving husband, and for his generosity to family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Francis Albert Swiggett Sr., on May 13, 2005.

He is survived by his mother, Caroline Greenlee; his wife of eight years, Christine Swiggett; a daughter, Jessica Cox of Clinton, N.C.; a son, James Greenlee of Hoopers Island, Md.; his siblings, Caroline S. Casper and husband Gary of Felton, Thomas Allen Greenlee of Milford, Sharon Bollar and husband Matthew of Magnolia, Terry Dickerson and husband Lewis of Magnolia, Michael Greenlee and wife Karen of Frederica, Pamela Klimowski and husband Gary of Woodside and Sandy Hinton of Loveland, Colo.; grandchildren Nathan Keith and Logan Arthur; numerous nieces and nephews; and his stepmother, Catherine Swiggett of Magnolia.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the funeral home to help with expenses.
