Frances 'Fran' Valentine Nichols
Frances "Fran" Valentine Nichols of Long Neck, formerly of Claymont, died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2007, in Long Neck.
Mrs. Nichols was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, wife and friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Helen Janiak; and a sister, Alfreda Janiak.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, William E. Nichols; three daughters, Frances Nichols Farrow, Patricia Nichols and Lisa Givens; three sons and three daughters-in-law, Wayne and Carol Nichols, William and Lisa Nichols, Richard and Debbie Nichols; two sisters, Eleanor Janiak and Bernice Gibson; 12 grandchildren; and her great-grandchildren, Christian and Kierstien.
Funeral services will be noon Wednesday in the Long Neck Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, Millsboro, where friends may call one hour earlier.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle.
The family suggests memorial contributions to a charity of one's choice.
