Frances Robinson, 76 HOUSTON - Frances Robinson, died Thursday, December 10, 2009, in Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. She was 76. Mrs. Robinson was born December 21, 1932 in Milford, to the late Clarence Sipple and Eleanor Johnson Sipple. She had worked for Perdue Farms for 22 years as a cook, retiring in 2000. After retirement she went to work for Country Rest Home in Greenwood. She enjoyed gardening, reading and traveling with her family to the mountains. Mrs. Robinson was always there for friends and family when ever needed. She loved to cook for the family and being with them all the time. Mrs. Robinson was a member of the Aldersgate Wesleyan Church in Milford. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Lee Lyons; her son, Norman Lyons; and brothers, Alfred and George Sipple. She is survived by her three daughters, Norma Waishes of Houston, Donna Passwaters and her husband, David of Houston, and Karen Ensley and her husband, Robert of Frederica; two sisters, Phyllis Aaron of Magnolia and Shirley Ames of Millsboro; grandchildren, Stacey Payton and her husband, Harry of Seaford, Jaime Tappan and Jon Rust of Houston, Crystal Black and her husband, Gary of Greenwood, Pamela Howard and her husband, Curtis of Houston, and Travis Ensley of Frederica; and great-grandchildren, Melissa, Katlyn, Matthew and Kimberly Payton, Haley Rust and Jacob Black. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, December 19, 2009, at the Aldersgate Wesleyan Church, 405 Marshall St., Milford. Friends may call one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Aldersgate Wesleyan Church, 405 Marshall St., Milford, DE 19963. Arrangements by Torbert Funeral Chapels, Dover. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
