Frances Marie Gue Algier

Algier, 81 SEAFORD - Frances Marie Gue Algier, age 81, of Seaford, died on Friday, December 19, 2014. Frances was born Feb. 3, 1933 in Barnesville, Frederick County, Md., the daughter of the late Phoebe V. Humerick Gue and Harvey R. Gue. She loved life, people, animals, especially Red Birds, which she wrote a poem in 1985 called "Red Bird, Red Bird." She wrote a lot of beautiful poems since she was 18. She also loved country and gospel music which she loved to sing and record. She also loved bowling, which she did for 16 years at the Seaford Lanes, horse racing and the Slots. She was a member of Blades United Methodist Church. She also liked playing bingo and crocheting afghans for 50 years. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a sister and brother and her husband, Robert B. Algier on Sept. 9, 2001. Fran is survived by three children, Robert D. Algier, Bonnie Buzzuto (John) and Susan Callaway (Gary), eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Funeral Services will be 2 p.m., Monday, December 29, 2014 at the Cranston Funeral Home, 300 N. Shipley St, Seaford, where friends may call from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Burial will be in Blades Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations may be made to Horse Lovers United, P O Box 2744, Salisbury, MD 21802.
