SUDLERSVILLE, Md. - Frances K. Crossley of Sudlersville, died Monday, Oct. 10, 2011, at Chester River Manor, Chestertown. She was 92. Frances K. Crossley was born Jan. 17, 1919, the daughter of the late William James Kimbles and Mary Catherine "Green." Mrs. Crossley worked as a waitress for 25 years at the Howard Johnson's Restaurant in Millington and retired in 1980. Mrs. Crossley was a member of the Calvary Asbury United Methodist Church in Sudlersville. She enjoyed cooking, canning, reading, crossword puzzles and traveling. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Crossley; and one sister, Kathleen Reedy. She is survived by one daughter, Maureen C. Wheatley of Smyrna; one son, John K. Crossley of Barclay, Md., five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011, at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, 370 Cypress St., Millington. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be held in Sudlersville Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent to the American Breast Cancer Foundation, 1220 B East Joppa Rd., Suite 332, Baltimore, MD 21286.
