Frances Gray Freeborn, 96

SEAFORD - Frances Gray Freeborn, age 96, of Seaford, died on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009. She was born in Norristown, Pa., the daughter of the late Isaac C. and Lillian Irons Gray. Her husband, James Wilson Freeborn died on March 31, 1998. She was a graduate of Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pa., and Penn State University in College Park, Pa., and taught 12 years in the Norristown Schools, both elementary and junior high schools and later in the East Norristown Elementary School. Mrs. Freeborn was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and a former member of the Administrative Board as Secretary. She had lived in the Manor House since 1991, where she sang in the chapel choir for a number of years. She is survived by her two children, Robert G. Freeborn of Seaford and Faith Elizabeth Freeborn of Georgetown. Memorial Services were Friday, Oct. 2, at the Methodist Manor House, 1001 Middleford Rd, Seaford.
