FRANKFORD - In the comfort of her home, Florie Haley passed away on June 14 2012. She had fought a long, battle with breast cancer. Florie was born in Boston, Virginia on May 17th 1923, to the late John and Bessie Alice Knox Haley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by eight brothers, John W. Thomas, James, Elwood, Maxwell, George Washington and Robert Lee, William and Floyd; two sisters, Georgie Sur and Helen. She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Hayes of Milton, Del.; five grand children and their spouses, Yolanda and Harry Brown of Bridgeville, William Jr. and Rene Hayes of Millsboro, Wallace Gayed of Milton, Chanett Cannon of Seaford and Orice Hayes of Milton; seven nieces, aka Halry girls, Rebecca Nelson of New Jersey, Delores and Otis Howard of Maryland, Evelyn Mavins of New York, Margaret and Thomas Stevens of Millsboro, Valerie and Beverly Haley of Philadelphia, Debra and Ronald Jones of New Jersey. Florie's special friends were Jessie Turnage of Georgetown Del., Aunt Isabelle Farrare of Vienna Md, Bernice Fooks of Milford Del., Ms. Powell and family and Ms. Banks both of Dagsboro Del. Her mom-mom girls are Wanda Stewart of Seaford, and Debbie Lord of Bridgeville; one sister-in-law, Ida Haley of Philadelphia; 19 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great- grandchildrenl; a host of other relatives. Funeral services will be noon Friday, June 29, 2012 at Trinity Holiness Church, 34640 Delaware Avenue, Frankford, Delaware. Rev. Leslie Freeman will officiate. Burial will be at St. Johns Second Baptist church cemetery, Mount Joy, Millsboro, DE. Service of comfort by McPherson Funeral Service Milford, DE.
