Peterman, 89 DOVER - Florence Lucy Peterman passed away Friday, September 5, 2014 quietly in her sleep at the Milford Center, Milford. Florence was born on October 13, 1924 in Pittsburg, Pa. to the late Clark & Lucy (Haworth) Wilson. Florence was a strong, proud military wife married to Roy Shiry Peterman for 68 years. She was often the sole parent raising four girls while her husband was overseas serving his country for long periods of time. Being stationed at various military bases Florence always said the time spent at Eielson A.F.B, Alaska was the best time of her life because of her great family and friends. She loved to sing and was a member of the Church of Christ choir for many years. Florence is survived by her daughters, Terry Lee Peterman, of Franklinton, N.C., Ann Irene Silcox, of Willow Street, Pa., Rorie Sue Hastings, of Milford and Sandra Jo Strusowski of Smyrna; nephew, Gordon Howard, of Pittsburg Pa.; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Services will take place privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE orhttps://www.delawarehospice.org/donations/. Letters of condolences can be sent to viawww.pippinfuneralhome.com
