DOVER - Flora G. King passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011, in Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 82. Flora was born on Feb. 14, 1929, in Laurel, daughter of the late Clarence and Sarah (Whaley) Johnson. She had worked for Capitol Cleaners, Dover. Flora was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton King; a son, Gary Fowler; grandson, Christopher Daniels; and two brothers, Clarence Johnson, and Dyson Johnson. She is survived by four children, Connie Daniels of Camden and her companion Donald Hearn Jr. of Lewes, Ronald Fowler of Farmington, Sue Forrest and her husband Thomas of Hartly, and Douglas Fowler and his wife Penny of Felton; six siblings, Isabell Adkins of Laurel, Betty Mitchell of Delmar, Ann Waynwright of Delmar, Md., Roland Johnson of Camden, Howard Johnson of Laurel, and Gloria Jean Milligan of Laurel; nine grandchildren, Christie Blackburn, Gary K. Fowler, Jr., Jessica Miller, Michelle Cole, Richard Lane Daniels, Jr., Trishia Simpler, Sane Forest, Jessica Semrau, and Erica Messick; and 19 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, March 17, at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Freedom Baptist Church, 218 Market St., Frederica, DE 19946.
