Delaware's First State Manufactured Housing Association names scholarship recipients

The First State Manufactured Housing Association has announced the winners of the 2023-24 Manufactured Housing Scholarship Awards.

Each scholarship is worth $2,500.

The recipients are:

  • Shardae Lashua of Sea Air Village, Rehoboth Beach, who is completing her second year at Rutgers University, majoring in biochemistry. After obtaining her degree, she plans to enroll in the doctorate program. Ms. Lashua volunteers with the American Red Cross, the Boys & Girls Club of Camden County (New Jersey), the African Students Association and the Pre-Med Student Association. She is also the captain of the Afrodynamic Dance Team, vice president of the Black Student Union and captain of the RUC Raptorettes Dance Team, as well as a tutor. Plus, she is completing an internship with Girls Inc., mentoring youth interested in the STEM field.
  • Reagan Webster, also of Sea Air Village, is a 2023 graduate of Penn Manor High School, Millersville, Pennsylvania, and will be attending Lebanon Valley College in the fall, majoring in physical therapy. She will be part of its six-year program to receive her doctorate. Ms. Webster was inducted into the National Honor Society and was a student ambassador at Penn Manor High.
