MILFORD - Fay L. Covey, of Milford, formerly of Newark, went home to be with the Lord on Feb. 27, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. Educated in Newark and Goldey Beacon College, she was employed for 23 years as a District Sales Manager for Avon Products Inc. and had achieved awards for Circle of Excellence in 1992, 2004 & 2005. Fay was a founding and charter member of the Local Milford Chapter of Sweet Addelines Intl. Barbershop Harmony Chorus and the 1st State Harmonettes. She remained a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Newark. Ms. Covey's passion for travel took her to 35 states including, Alaska, Hawaii; Canada, France, Germany, Italy, & cruises to several Islands. She enjoyed puzzles, crafts, singing barbeshop harmony, a 'Girls day out' with the GOG's, 'Good old Gals', a retreat weekend with Francis, numerous friendships and associations, and a endless love and caring for her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Betty Chance Dadds and Samuel F. Dadds Jr.; sister, Dolores L. Reed; and long time friend and companion, Francis A. Webb IV. She is survived by sons, Bryan G. Covey Jr. and Bradley G. Covey; daughter, Barbara L. Elliott; granddaughters, Breanne A., and Amanda F. Elliott, and Samantha L. Covey; sisters, Jeanette Balinski (Joe), Sami-Lynn Houseman, Betty A. Bumbico, Judith E. Dadds-Cutler (Ken), Christine E. Dill (Ron); and brothers, Samuel F. Dadds III and Louis Dadds. Family and friends are invited to her Life Celebration Memorial at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Ave., Wyoming DE 19934. The family will be available at 10 a.m. Burial will be private. The family wishes to extend gratitude to all of the staff of "Delaware Hospice" for the excellent care and guidance provided to Fay and the family.
