Evelyn M. (Deveney) Scone, 94
OCEAN CITY, N.J. - Evelyn M. (Deveney) Scone of Ocean City passed away Saturday, July 28, 2007, in Brandywine Assisted Living in Rehoboth Beach, Del. She was 94.
Mrs. Scone was born Oct. 14, 1912, in Chester, Pa., daughter of the late William and Mary Elizabeth (Devlin) Deveney.
She was a member of Union Chapel By The Sea in Ocean City, N.J. She loved to knit. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Stephen A. Scone.
She is survived by her a son, Stephen A. Scone III of Rehoboth Beach; two daughters, Evelyn G. Gargano of Pinecrest, Fla., and Helen S. Lawrence of Ocean City, N.J.; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Lawn Croft Cemetery, 1000 W. Ridge Road, Linwood, Pa.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Union Chapel By The Sea, 5501 Asbury Ave., Ocean City, NJ 08226.
