OCEAN VIEW - Evelyn Elinor (Haggerty) Springer, of Ocean View, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2008, in Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. She was 77.
Mrs. Springer was born May 3, 1930, in Reading, Pa., daughter of the late John and Elsie (Madeira) Haggerty.
In her earlier years, she worked in retail as a data processor.
Mrs. Springer and her husband moved to Delaware from Pennsylvania more than 30 years ago.
She loved to fish and thoroughly enjoyed making a home for her beloved family.
Mrs. Springer was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Stanley Springer; a daughter, Wendy King and her husband Scott of Reading; a son, Keith Springer and his wife Linda of Lancaster, Pa.; four grandchildren, Kristy and Clint Bomberger and Jessica and Kelly Springer; five great-grandchildren, Alexis, Bryson, Ashlyn, Clayton and Jocelyn; and a sister, Jane Kase of Reading.
All services are private.
Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Enterprises Inc., Clarksville.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 163, Salisbury, MD 21803-0163.
