Eva Byler Chupp, 88

GREENWOOD - Eva Byler Chupp, of Greenwood, went home to be with Jesus on Monday, June 29, 2009. She was 88. Eva was born April 27, 1921, in Middlefield, Ohio, daughter of the late Gideon and Lydia (Yoder) Byler. She was a member of Cannon Mennonite Church and a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Andy Chupp Sr.; five sisters; two brothers; and one great-grandchild. Eva is survived by the following seven children and their spouses, Molly and Mickey Lauck of Greenwood, Menno and Dorothy Chupp of Greenwood, Evalina and Bob Kopp of Harrington, Andrew and Kathy Chupp of Seaford, Lydia and Richard Trice of Seaford, Carl and Susan Chupp of Greenwood, and Steve and Marcia Chupp of Georgetown. In addition, she is survived by 21 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Lena, wife of Rueben King of Coatesville, Pa. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, at Cannon Mennonite Church, Route 18 (Cannon Road), one mile west of Route 13. Services will be at Cannon Mennonite Church at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 2, with an additional viewing beginning at 9 a.m. Burial will be at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Cannon Mennonite Church Alms Fund, P.O. Box 718, Bridgeville, DE 19933. Arrangements by Fleischauer Funeral Home, Greenwood.
