REHOBOTH BEACH - Eugenia (Slenys) Pakulis of Rehoboth Beach died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2007, at Harbor Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, Lewes. She was 83.
Mrs. Pakulis was born in Kaunas, Lithuania.
She was employed as an editor and translator for the U.S. government in Washington, D.C.
Mrs. Pakulis was fluent in five languages: Lithuanian, English, French, German and Russian.
She retired in 1982 and moved to Rehoboth Beach.
She enjoyed reading and poetry.
Mrs. Pakulis was a very vivacious lady.
She was known for her love of animals and for rescuing many stray cats.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Casimir Pakulis of Rehoboth Beach.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Epworth Methodist Cemetery, Henlopen Avenue, Rehoboth Beach.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary of Sussex County, P.O. Box 430, Nassau, DE 19969.
