DENTON, Md. - Eugene H. Brooke passed away peacefully at the Homestead Manor in Denton.
Born in Denton on June 28, 1929, Mr. Brooke was the son of the late Harold McCarthy Brooke and Elsie Mae Donovan Brooke. Known to many as "Brooksie", he had lived in Denton all of his life. He had worked for E.I. DuPont in Seaford as a Power House operator before retiring in 1985 after 39 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran and had been a member of the Caroline American Legion Post 29 for over 60 years.
Mr. Brooke is survived by his caretaker, Michele Bullock and her husband Joe Amalfitano. His pride and joys were their children, Ashley, Little Joe, and Angelina. Friends Betty Rayne, Rick, BJ and Ritchie Bullock along with countless friends in the Denton area. He is also survived by his family, Linda S. (Clark) Young, Elinore (Satterfield) Lynch, Frank Lynch, Karen Lynch, Norma (Satterfield) Marvel, Virginia Marvel, Susan Marvel, Joe Marvel, George Ray Donovan, and many more. In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by his Aunt Maude (Donovan) H. Clark, George A. Donovan, Frank Donovan, Iva Donovan, Onolee (Donovan) Short, and Rosemary (Marvel) Harmon.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located at 12 S. Second St. in Denton, Md. where friends may visit from 1 until 2 p.m. before the service. The interment will be in the Denton Cemetery located at 24865 Meeting House Road in Denton.
