Ethel May Irwin, 76 RIDGELY, Md. - Ethel May Irwin, 76, of Ridgely, died Thursday, April 29, 2010, in Caroline Nursing Home, Denton, Md. She was born Aug. 24, 1933, in Little Creek, to the late Clifford and Beatrice Adkins Knight. Ethel was a seamstress for many years working for Rob Roy in Ridgely, Greensboro Garment in Greensboro, and Delsey in Denton. She is survived by her two sons, Charles "Gene" Buckle and wife Fran of Ridgely, Darry Buckle of Hartly, Del.; two daughters, Patricia "Patsy" Taylor and husband J.T. of Ingleside, Md., and Donna McNeil of Hurlock, Md.; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, her best friend, Helen Knott of Ridgely, and many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Knight; and two sisters, Esther Simpson and Claudia "Sis" Steele. Visitation will be held at Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, 106 Sunset Ave; Greensboro, Md., on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m., and on Wednesday one hour prior to the service. Graveside services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 5, in the Greensboro Cemetery, Greensboro. Letters of condolence may be sent via www.fleegleandhelfenbein.com.
