MILTON - Ethel Clara Draper Mason of Milton entered into eternal rest on Friday, Dec. 28, 2007, at home. She was 93.
Ethel was born July 5, 1914, in Milton, to Joseph and Susie Draper.
She was raised in Georgetown.
Ethel was an active member of Bethel A.M.E. Church where she served as the missionary society president, member of the stewardess board, lay organization and senior choir and member of the culinary ministry.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Mason; son, Galen Mason; and grandson, Jackie Waples.
Ethel leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Margo Hitchens of Laurel and Maxine Savage and her husband Bobby of Milton; three sons, Brodes Mason and his wife Lola of Millsboro, Truman Mason of Georgetown and Basel Mason of Milton; 20 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a paternal uncle, Leon Lofland and his wife Pearl of Federalsburg, Md.; one godson, Peter John Rowley; a special care giver, Joyce Santiago; and a multitude of nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be noon Saturday in Bethel A.M.E. Church, Milton, where friends may call two hours prior to services and from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
Interment will be in Bethel A.M.E. Church Cemetery.
