Ethel Carey (McClure) Beideman, 90
LEWES - Ethel Carey (McClure) Beideman died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007, at the Harbor Healthcare Center, Lewes, where she resided for the past four months. She was 90.
Mrs. Beideman was a lifelong resident of Groveville, N.J., until her retirement from public education in 1979, after which she joined her late husband, Charles A. Beideman, in Lincoln.
She was employed for more than 20 years by the Hamilton Township Board of Education, last serving as secretary to the principal at Grice Junior High School.
Active in her community, Mrs. Beideman was both officer and active volunteer in such organizations as the Parent-Teacher Association, and United Methodist Church Women while in Groveville, and the Lewes Senior Cheer Center.
In addition, she served in various activities at the Prime Hook Nature Center and the congregation of Lincoln United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Beideman was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Elizabeth (Borden) McClure; her husband of 52 years, Charles A. Beideman; and her daughter, Barbara A. Wilson.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Susan J. and Harrie G. Burdan of Ocala, Fla.; a son and daughter-in-law, Charles E. and Sandra J. Beideman of Lincoln; a son-in-law, Carl W. Wilson of Hamilton, N.J.; a sister-in-law, Joan D. McClure of Hamilton; three grandsons; three step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
