Esther E. Weller

SUDLERSVILLE - Esther E. Weller passed away on June 13, 2013 in Chestertown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Weller was born on Nov. 10, 1918, daughter of the late Raymond and Clara Shaw Stafford. She was a lifetime resident of Sudlersville, where she and her husband operated a farm. After her husband's death in 1960 she worked for Leed's Travelware and Miss Kitty's Nursing Home. She enjoyed gardening, canning and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Medcalf 'Doc' Weller; son-in-law, Frank Heverin; two great-granddaughters, Brandy Wallace and Kasie Solloway; and her nine brothers and sisters, Clifton, Austin, Floyd, Linwood, and Woodrow Stafford, Madeline Poore, Beatrice Bennet, Dorothy Boyles and Gladys Wallace. Mrs. Weller is survived by her children, June Heverin of Marydel, Howard M. Weller and wife Barbara of Millington and Nancy Solloway and husband Robert of Hartly, Del.; ten grandchildren, June Yeager, Joyce Marie, Brenda Lee and Darlene F. Heverin, Jimmy Weller, Terri Wallace, Robbie, Ronnie and Rick Solloway, and Debora Goldstein; 21 great-grandchildren and 20+ great-great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Monday, June 17, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD., where funeral service will begin at noon. Burial in Sudlersville Cemetery. Flowers are appreciated but memorials may be offered to the American Heart Association. www.galenafuneralhomeofsls.com
