Ernest J. Stalhut, 24

HARRINGTON - Ernest J. Stalhut, of Harrington, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, at his residence. He was 24.

He was born in Kingston, N.Y., to John M. Winnie of Wawarsing, N.Y. and Ellen M. Stalhut of Greenwood.

Mr. Stalhut worked as a landscaper for Cerillos Nursery since he was 15 years old.

He enjoyed working outdoors and landscaping.

He was currently preparing to go into the National Guard, and was just waiting on the paperwork to go through.

In his spare time, Mr. Stalhut enjoyed fishing with his father and riding quads.

He shared a passion for motorcycles with his mom and dad. He loved to shoot pool and darts, and belonged to a pool league, the Nine Ball Stoners. He also enjoyed bowling on occasion.

Mr. Stalhut will be remembered as an outgoing, caring individual who always lent a hand to help anyone who needed help, because he had such a big heart. He would give you the shirt off of his back.

He will be sadly missed by his family and many close friends.

In addition to parents, he is survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many close friends.

Memorial services will be 8 p.m. Thursday in Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 S. DuPont Highway, Harrington, where friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Thursday.

Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
