Emma Lee Graves, 64

SMYRNA - Emma Lee Graves of Smyrna died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2006, in her home, with her loving family by her side. She was 64.

Mrs. Graves was born July 13, 1942, in Milford, daughter of Grace M. Bohannon of Milford and the late Leland Bohannon.

She devoted most of her time to missionary work, serving those in need. A strong faith guided her in her walk in supporting and helping others. Above all else, she will be remembered as a mother, caregiver and child of God. She had a great love of horses and enjoyed being outdoors.

Mrs. Graves was a faithful member of Beacon Lighthouse Church, Dover. During her illness, she came to embrace the forgiveness and mercy of God in her life.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Graves; and two daughters, Collette Graves and Valarie Graves.

She is survived by six daughters, Jacquelyn Graves of Felton, Barbara Graves Cephas of Smyrna, Jennifer Graves of Wyoming, Nichole Graves of Smyrna, and Angie Pearson and Carolyn Barner, both of Dover; a son, Shaughn Graves of Dover; a spiritual daughter, Denita Corbitt of Smyrna; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two special friends, Willa Moore and Catherine Foxx.

Services will be noon Wednesday in Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna, where friends may call one hour earlier.

Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery, Sandtown.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice Inc., 911 S. Du Pont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
