SEAFORD - Elma (Brasure) Cannon of Seaford died Friday, March 2, 2007, in Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford. She was 87.
Mrs. Cannon was born in Millsboro, daughter of the late John E. and Florence (Baker) Brasure.
She assisted her husband Lester E. Cannon, with their family business, Farmers' Supply Service Inc. in Bridgeville until his death in 1995. They were married for 53 years. She a very dedicated mother to her children.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Elisabeth Hoyt, in 1982.
She is survived by a daughter, Rebecca Sheirer of Brownsville, Texas; a son, Edward K. Cannon of Bridgeville; two sisters, Reba B. Hoyt of Ellendale and Elsie B. Mitchell of Milton; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Friday in Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws St., Bridgeville, where friends may call one hour earlier. Mrs. Cannon's son-in-law, Gary L. Sheirer, will officiate.
