SEAFORD - Ellis F. Frye, of Seaford, died on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008, in Genesis Elder Care in Seaford. Mr. Frye was a retired Power Equipment salesman. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a volunteer at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital and loved gardening. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy E. Frye, in 2001. He is survived by his daughter, Betty Jean Johnson and her husband, Wayne; his son, Ellis F. Frye Jr.; four grandchildren, Sherrie Johnson, Barry Johnson Jr., Kelly Angel, and Scott Frye; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Beatrice Laing of Seaford. Graveside services were on Monday at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel, Millsboro. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made to Delaware Hospice Inc, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963; or the Alzheimer's Association, 399 Market St, Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106. Arrangements by the Cranston Funeral Home, Seaford.
