INGLESIDE, Md. - Ella Marie Meredith passed away on Thurs., Dec. 5, 2013 at Chestertown Nursing & Rehab Center. She was born on June 29, 1928 in Delaware to the late Wilbert and Nellie Kemp Melvin. Mrs. Meredith had been an employee of the Sudlersville Elementary School cafeteria, retiring in 1990 after 30 years of service. She enjoyed gardening, completing word search puzzles and listening to her police scanner. She was a life member of the St. Paul's United Methodist Church of Ingleside. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first and second husbands, Edward J. Falcey and Norman D. Meredith; three brothers, Wilbert Melvin, Jr., Belford Melvin, Sr. and John Wesley Melvin, Sr.; and two great-granddaughters. She is survived by her children, Edward Falcey of Ingleside, Mary Jane Lockwood of Chestertown, Norma Boone of Ingleside, Tina Cox of Ridgely, Kathy Dana of Church Hill, Sue Zuravnsky of Greensboro, Norman Meredith, Jr. of Ingleside, Nellie Cockey of Frederick; step-sister, Mary Louise Davidson of Felton; one brother, George Melvin of Camden; one sister, Mary Catherine Minner of Dover; 13 grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A graveside service for Mrs. Meredith will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec 9, 2013 in the Greensboro Cemetery, Greensboro.
