Elizabeth M. Cannon, 93

MILFORD - Elizabeth M. Cannon of Milford died Monday, March 26, 2007, in Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital. She was 93.

Mrs. Cannon was born to the late Mary and Alfred Meredith.

She was manager of Silco Store for many years and later worked in the school cafeteria.

Mrs. Cannon was a member of Sardis United Methodist Church and when she was able, attended Calvary United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Cannon; a brother, Derrickson Meredith; and a granddaughter, Mary Beth Greenly.

She is survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law, James W. Jr. and Marilyn Cannon of Champaign, Ill. and Harvey and Verna Cannon of Harrington; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Pat and Jim Greenly and Bonnie and Bruce Howell, all of Milford; five granddaughters and their spouses, Debbie and Neil Royse and Sherry and Steve Kaiser, all of Illinois, Diane and Dan Twisselmann of Milford, Jeanie Kay and Roger Kruser of Dover and Lisa and Matt Carey of Harrington; nine great-grandchildren and their spouses, Stephanie Royse, Stacie and Jacob Kennedy, all of Illinois, Melena Roy, Lauren Roy, Jamie and Frank Cotonio, all of Key West, Fla., Jenna and Cory Twisselmann of Milford and Jacob Carey and Emily Carey, both of Harrington; two great-great-granddaughters, Kylie Kennedy and Rebecca Cotonio; a nephew, Kenneth Meredith of Robbins, Ga.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 N.W. Front St., Milford.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.

Burial will be in Milford Community Cemetery.
