Elizabeth J. 'Lib' Moore, 87
AYDEN, N.C. - Elizabeth J. "Lib" Moore, of Ayden, formerly of Seaford, Del., died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2007, in Ayden. She was 87.
Mrs. Moore was born in Seaford, Del., daughter of the late Virgil G. and Mae Lizzie Benson Jones.
She married William T. Moore of Seaford and moved to Ayden, where she was a teacher's aide in the school system for many years.
She was a wonderful person who was loved and honored throughout her life.
Mrs. Moore was a member of the Ayden Christian Church and was active in the Ayden Christian Church Keen-Agers Group.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William T. Moore; her brothers, Calvin F. Jones, John William Jones and Carlton W. Jones; her sisters, Beulah M. Jones, Mabel E. Carmean and Helen J. Christopher; and a grandson, Andrew Moore.
She is survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law, Barry and Carole Moore of Cashiers, N.C., and Jeff and Ellen Moore of Greenville, N.C.; a daughter and a son-in-law, Pam M. and Ray Carter of Winterville, N.C.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was Jan. 26 in Farmer Funeral Service, Ayden.
