HOUSTON - Elizabeth G. Pike, 98, of Houston, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010, at the Hospice House of Talbot County, Easton, Md. Mrs. Pike was the daughter of the late Henry and Magdalena (Bundus) Goldinger. She was a homemaker and an avid gardener. A member of the American Iris Society and the Hemerocallis Society she registered her own hybridized iris and daylily and had a 50 year collection of over 3000 different varieties of daylilies and over 1000 different iris varieties. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church of Seaford. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Robert Pike Sr.; a son, David Pike; and 4 sisters, Eva Eckertson, Clara Burlingham, Katherine Martin, and Anna Vadakin. She is survived by a son, William R. Pike Jr. and his wife Sharon of Milford; and a daughter, Sherry Pike-Saville and her husband Terry Saville of Trappe, Md. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010, at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford, where friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Milford - Harrington Highway, Harrington. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to either Christ Lutheran Church of Seaford, 312 North Shipley Street, Seaford, DE 19973; or to the Hospice House of Talbot County, 586 Cynwood Drive, Easton, MD 21601.
