Elizabeth G. "Libby" Elliott Potts

DOVER - Elizabeth G. "Libby" Elliott Potts of Dover, formerly of Salisbury, Md., passed away peacefully Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007, in Capitol Healthcare Services" facility, Dover. She was 96.

Mrs. Potts was born Oct. 16, 1910, daughter of the late Ross and Gertrude (Phillips) Gordy.

She was employed many years as a ticket agent with Red Star/Trailways Bus Co. in Salisbury. She later worked in the accounting department of Sweetheart Bakery in Salisbury, from where she retired in 1975.

She resided for many years in Pine Bluff Village, Salisbury.

Mrs. Potts was a member of the Bethesda United Methodist Church, Salisbury.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, E. Franklin Elliott; and a daughter, Anne Elizabeth Elliott Moser.

She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Elliott Palmer of Dover and Patricia Elliott House of Virginia Beach, Va.; three grandchildren, Patti Lynn Palmer Sparrow of Richmond, Va., Nancy Anne Palmer Tallon, and her husband, Rodney, of Smyrna, and Neal Edward Palmer, and his wife, Amber, of Tampa, Fla.; 12 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Margaret Elliott Dykes of Salisbury and Helen Elliott of Columbus, Ohio.

Services will be private.

Burial will be in St. Stephen"s Cemetery, Delmar.
