Elizabeth D. Byler, 87

DOVER - Elizabeth D. Byler, passed away Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008, in her home. She was 87. She was born on June 7, 1921 in Dodge City, Kan., daughter of the late Joseph and Lydia (Yoder) Detweiler. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Andrew Byler. She is survived by her children, Mary Ann Byler and her husband Henry of Dover, David Byler and his wife Millie of Dover, Lydia Mae Stutzman and her husband Herman of Clare, MI, Clara Gingerich and her husband Joseph of Nathalie, Va., Alta Mast and her husband David of Madison, Mo., William Byler and his wife Amanda of Hartly, Barbara Sue Miller of Dover, Ruth Coblentz and her husband Harvey of Clare, Mich., Ervin Byler and his wife Susan of Crab Orchard, Ky., and Elizabeth Ann Miller and her husband Ervin of Dover; a brother, Rudy Detweiler and his wife Ann of Ohio; two sisters, Anna Miller of Stuarts Draft, Va., and Barbara Byler of Dover; sister-in-laws, Anna Detweiler of Lewisburg, Ky., and Ruth Detweiler of Ohio; 85 grandchildren, 256 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Friends may call beginning 2 p.m. Friday and also Saturday at the family residence 962 W. Denney's Rd., Dover. Services will start at 9 a.m. Sunday, at the residence of Harvey Jr. and Rachel Yoder, 1288 Rose Valley School Rd., Dover. Burial will follow in the Amish Cemetery, Dover. Arrangements are by Pippin Funeral Home, Wyoming.
