Elizabeth Audrey Dye Budai, 90 DOVER - Elizabeth Audrey Dye Budai, of Dover, died Tuesday July 22, 2008, in Silver Lake Nursing Home. She was 90. Mrs. Budai was born March 9, 1918, in Laura Lee, W. Va., to the late Homer Dye and Cora Swiger Dye. She had a keen interest in her family heritage and a love of history in general. During WWII she worked in the support of our country with many other women as a "Rosie the Riveter" manufacturing defense vehicles. She took pride in the fact that she and her sister were able to help the War effort on the home front by becoming an integral part of the stateside wartime work force. In her later years she spent countless hours researching and compiling reams of documentation on her family genealogy. Her research included books she had published that continue to assist relatives from near and far in their own genealogical research. Mrs. Budai's efforts lead to the discovery that her ancestors included Revolutionary War soldiers and her membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution pleased her very much. After being widowed the second time in 2002, she moved to Dover where she enjoyed spending time with her daughter and her family. She rarely complained and had a dry sense of humor that was appreciated. She will be missed by her daughter, Carolie Crane Holden and her husband Bill, granddaughter; Leann and her husband Kevin; grandson, Bill Holden Jr. and his wife Jennifer and four great-grandchildren, as well as friends and much appreciated caretakers at Heritage in Dover and Silver Lake Nursing Facility. At her direction services will be private. Arrangements by Torbert Funeral Chapel Letters of condolences may be sent, and guestbook signed, at torbertfuneral.com
