GREENWOOD - Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Snyder, of Greenwood passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at the Milford Hospice Center. She was 87. Betty was born May 16, 1926 in Greenwood, the daughter of William H. and Mary McVey Mervine. She was previous a member of Chichester United Wesleyan Church for many years, currently she was a member of the Greenwood UMC. Betty enjoyed traveling, especially to Florida. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, William Harold Mervine Jr. and James C. "Pete" Mervine; and two sisters, Lula Mae Hatfield and Mary Melvin. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Everett S. Snyder; four children and spouses, Bruce E. and Gloria Snyder, John W. and Joyce Snyder, Debra and Gil Wright, and Wendy and Charles Schafer; 12 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren; five siblings, John and Peggy Mervine, Tootsie Reed, Catherine and Everett Isaacs, Paul and Frances Mervine, and Joann Collins. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Monday, September 23, 2013 at the Greenwood United Methodist Church. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church. Interment service will be noon, Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at Lawn Croft Cemetery, 1000 W. Ridge Rd, Linwood, PA 19061. Arrangements by Fleischauer Funeral Home , Greenwood, Del.
