TAMPA, Fla. - Elizabeth Allen passed away March 17, 2016. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of, Dover. Later she moved to Tampa, to be close with her eldest daughter. She was the youngest of twelve brothers and sisters. She was the business owner of a newsstand in Milford and she was very enthusiastic about working. She was a member of the Milford senior center; that's where she met her lifelong friends Adele and Kay, they were known for "running the roads". She loved gardening, mingling with others, and loved her outings. She was also a great cook, there was nothing like mom's cinnamon rolls. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Lizzie Hershberger; and her husband, Paul Donaldson Allen. She is survived by her sons, Joseph Allen, John Allen, and Donald Allen (Paula); her daughters, Anna Allen, and Verna Anderson (John); along with 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She will be buried at the Sharon Hills Memorial Park in Dover at 2 p.m. on June 13, 2016. She was well-loved and will be missed.
