Eleanor W. 'Billie' Jester, 67

Eleanor W. "Billie" Jester of Federalsburg died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2007, in Nanticoke Hospital, Seaford, Del. She was 67.

Mrs. Jester was born Jan. 4, 1940, in Easton, daughter of the late Bryan F. Sr. and Eleanor Cox Turbitt.

She was a graduate of Ridgely High School.

Mrs. Jester worked as a barber in the Federalsburg area before becoming a truck driver first for Glacier Refrigerated Express and later for Purdue Inc.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Jester, on July 16, 1984.

She is survived by two daughters, Phyllis Cole of Pensicola, Fla. and Valerie Flatten of Federalsburg; three sons, Dawson Lord Jr. of Linkwood, Thomas Lord of Hurlock and Keith Lord of Bridgeville, Del.; four brothers, Frank Turbitt of Laurel, Del., Paul Turbitt of Seaford, Del., Bryan Turbitt of Federalsburg and James Turbitt of Seaford; two sisters, Patricia Griffin of Salisbury and Linda Torbert of Laurel; five grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and two feline companions, Stormy and Muffin.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Valerie and Billy Flatten, 26796 Iron Gate Road, Federalsburg.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Caroline County Humane Society, 407 West Belle Street, Ridgely, MD 21660.

Arrangements by Williamson Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Federalsburg.
