MAGNOLIA - Eleanor P. Hollinger of Magnolia passed away peacefully Saturday, May 19, 2007, in Magnolia, after fighting a heroic battle with cancer.
Eleanor was greatly love by all who met her and will be missed by all.
In her spare time, she loved to work in her yard, planting flowers and cutting grass.
Eleanor was a member of the Central Delaware Democrat Club, where she volunteered a lot of her time.
Her all time favorite was playing the slot machines.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph N. and Sophia Procko; her brother, Walter Procko; her sister, Mary Todd; her great-granddaughter, Monique Nickle; and her very special cat, DR.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Dawson B. Hollinger; her children, Ruthann H. Nickle of Magnolia, Larry D. Hollinger Sr. and his wife Sherry of Magnolia, and Kay H. LePage and her husband Roger of Massachusetts; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her sisters, Florence Green and Clara Polito; many nieces and nephews; her special friends, Randy, Elanie and Bob; a multitude of friends and admirers; and her beloved cats, Little Mama, Pudding, Mama Callie and kids.
Friends and relatives may pay their respect at Traders Funeral Home in Dover on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m., where services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Mrs. Hollinger's name to the Kent County S.P.C.A., 32 Shelter Circle, Camden-Wyoming, DE 19934.
Please honor the special request of no live flowers at the family home or funeral home due to family member allergies.
