Eleanor Kinney Duffner, 68

RADFORD, VA - Eleanor Kinney Duffner, died Wednesday, October 28, 2009, in Montgomery Regional Hospital, after a 33 day battle with lung cancer. She was 68. Eleanor was born October 12, 1941, in Milford, to the late Donald L. and Evelyn Kemp Kinney. Eleanor was a retired employee of Amerisource (Strother Drug Co.). She was a member of Chestnut Hill United Methodist Church in Lynchburg, Va. She is survived by her husband of 29 years, C. Richard Duffner of Radford, Va.; three sisters, Beverly K. Poore of Dover, Donna K. Hicks of Selbyville, and Rita K. Bailey of Camden; one brother, Donald L. Kinney Jr. of Madison Heights, Va.; and was loved by her nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be 12 noon Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at the Spring Hill Cemetery, Lynchburg, Va., with the Rev. Tommy McDearis officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr. S.W., Blacksburg, Va. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society, 2840 Electric Road, Suite 106A, Roanoke, VA 24018.
