Elaine N. 'ET' Trice, 75 SMYRNA - Elaine N. "ET" Trice, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2009, surrounded by her loving family in Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 75. Ms. Trice was born December 23, 1933 in Rising Sun, Md., the daughter of the late Holly and Viola Turner Trice. She was a homemaker who enjoyed her animals and spending time outdoors. Ms. Trice loved horseback riding, spending time with her cats and with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed "harassing" people in her own way. Her hobbies included her artwork, which consisted of her own drawings, listening to country music, belly dancing, and swimming. Ms. Trice was also very proud of her Cherokee and Apache Indian heritage. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husband, Richard G. Bauer; and several siblings. She is survived by four daughters, Shirley Tozsar and her husband, Jack of Cape May Court House, N.J., Frances Elliott and her husband, Ronald of Wilmington, Carmen Sanders of Dover, and Gail Elaine Ellis and her husband, Cliff of Dover; two sons, Gene Gommer III and his wife, Tina of Brookhaven, Pa., and Gene E. Gommer of California; a brother, Franklin of Marcus Hook, Pa.; two sisters, Goldie Myers and Margie Green, both of Florida; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 12 noon Wednesday, November 18, 2009, in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 S. Main St., Smyrna. Family and friends are welcome at 11 a.m. for the viewing. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the Kent County S.P.C.A., 32 Shelter Circle, Camden-Wyoming, DE 19934. Arrangements are by Faries Funeral Directors and Crematorium, Inc., 29 S. Main St., Smyrna. Condolence letters may be sent by visiting www.fariesfuneralhome.com.
