Eileen W. Burnett, 86
DOVER - Eileen Burnett, resident of Dover Place, formerly of Planters Run Community, passed away February 20, 2022 in Bayhealth Medical Center, Dover. She was born in Chester, Pa. in March of 1935 to the late Joseph and Eileen Dagge Wurm.
She was the wife of the late Gerard Burnett (1985).
Eileen earned two degrees in college and was an accountant for many years with Westinghouse, retiring in 1993, and retired from the Delaware County Court House of PA in 2001.
After retirement, Eileen moved to the community of Planters Run in Dover, Del. where she would serve as treasurer for the HOA.
She was a member of the Garden Club, Dover Modern Maturity Center, and The Church of Holy Cross, Dover.
Eileen was avid traveler and had visited many countries and in her quieter moments she enjoyed reading.
Besides her parents; she was preceded by her brother, David Wurm in 2011.
Eileen is survived by a brother, Joseph (Barbara) Wurm; and a niece, Sandra Wurm both of Concordville, Pa.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 12 p.m., March 3, 2022 at The Church of The Holy Cross, 631 S. State St., Dover. Interment will follow in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover. Visitation will be held before Mass 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State St., Dover, DE 19901.
